Hi, I’m Lucy – and I’m the artist behind Lucy Mix Art, a brand where handmade photo frames and decorations become meaningful pieces of art.
If you’ve ever wondered how I got into mixed media art, or what keeps me coming back to it again and again… this is my story.
Creativity has always been my way of expressing myself
Since childhood, I’ve been naturally drawn to creative things. I used to fill journals with memories, draw little sketches, and take photos of anything that inspired me. I loved the feeling of capturing a moment – not just with words or pictures, but with meaning.
As I grew older, I tried many creative hobbies. I made candles, decorated notebooks, created collages in my art journals, and even tried macramé and floral arrangements. Some projects turned out great, others… not so much. But I loved the process. I loved learning, experimenting, and losing myself in something that felt so personal.
The day I discovered Mixed Media
In 2020, I took a creative course where I was introduced to mixed media – and I immediately fell in love.
Mixed media is a technique that combines different materials and mediums in one piece – think paper, texture paste, decoupage, paints, cast shapes, and more. It’s a little messy, totally unpredictable, and absolutely freeing. I realized I could layer, mix, and shape my ideas in a way that felt intuitive and symbolic. I could create something unique every single time.
That freedom is what hooked me. I wasn’t following rules – I was following feeling.
Why I keep creating
Life is busy. But art is where I come alive. It’s my quiet space, my therapy, my joy. Through Lucy Mix Art, I’ve built something that reflects not just my style, but my heart.
I create for people who want more than just decoration. For people who love detail, meaning, memory, and uniqueness. I believe that art should tell a story – and each of my pieces is a little chapter of one.
Whether it’s a photo frame that holds a special memory or a wall piece full of symbolism, my goal is to bring warmth and soul into your space.
Final thoughts
Mixed media is more than a technique to me – it’s a language. And I’m so grateful I get to speak it, share it, and connect with others through it.
If you’re someone who values handmade art, creativity, and objects with meaning – then you’re in the right place.
Thank you for being part of my journey.
With love,
Lucy 🤍
